Created for the Godot Wild Jam #80, with the theme:


How to Play:

Use your mouse to move the player paddle and block the bullets before they break out of the circle. If a bullet leaves the circle, it is game over. There are three different bullet types:

  • Standard bullet. Block with your paddle.
  • Upgrade bullet. Block with your paddle to make your paddle longer, or let it hit a block on the outer ring to heal the block. If your paddle has reached its maximum size, a second paddle will spawn (unless you turn this off in the settings to gain an extra score modifier). You will still lose if this bullet leaves the circle.
  • Bouncing bullet. This bullet will bounce off your paddle and the outer ring blocks.

Scoring:

The final score is calculated based on the duration of the game, bullets blocked, and longest combo.  There are also multiplier modifiers which are based on the game settings used, which can be modified in the Settings panel on the Main Menu. Modifiers include:

  • Starting player size. Starting the game with a smaller paddle will give you a larger score modifier.
  • Starting shot speed. Bullets progressively get faster, but setting a higher starting speed will give you a larger score modifier.
  • Starting shot delay. The time between bullets will progressively get shorter, but starting with a shorter delay will give you a larger score modifier.
  • Second paddle modifier. Once your player paddle reaches the max size, a second paddle can optionally be spawned in. Playing without the option to spawn in a second paddle will get a larger score modifier.

Scores can optionally be submitted to a global leaderboard. After submitting to the global leaderboard, only the top 10 scores will be displayed. If your score was in the top 10 but isn't being displayed, it is possible that the leaderboard didn't finish syncing before displaying the top 10. Try navigating back to the main menu and view the leaderboard from there.
